delete your account

01 how to ask

Email privacy@parlingy.com from the Google account you sign in to Parlingy with, so we know the account is yours. Put “delete my account” in the subject.
We reply to confirm we have your request. If you wrote from a different address, we may ask you to verify the account first.
We delete your account and data within 30 days and email you when it’s done.

This works the same however you use Parlingy: on the website, the installed web app, or the Android app from Google Play. Uninstalling the app on its own does not delete your account.

02 what we delete

your account: name, email address, profile photo and Google account identifier;
your learning data: finished lessons and scores, flashcard schedule, streak and daily activity, chosen languages;
your settings: palette, display name, daily goal, reminder time, sound and autoplay;
your Parlingy Plus waitlist entry, if you joined it.

03 what we keep, and for how long

We keep only what the law requires: order and payment records, if you bought something, for as long as tax and accounting law requires, and messages needed to show we handled your request. Our hosting providers keep server logs for a limited period before deleting them. See our privacy policy for details.

04 deleting some data but keeping your account

To reset your progress, remove your waitlist entry, or delete other specific data without closing your account, email privacy@parlingy.com and tell us what you’d like removed.
