yes. every course starts from hello and covers first-level material: japanese jlpt n5, korean topik i, italian a1, spanish a2, chinese hsk 1, french a1, german a1, portuguese a1.
is parlingy free?
yes. a free account learns one language with every lesson, flashcard and audio clip in it. parlingy plus, coming soon, unlocks all eight languages and conversation practice for $59.99 a year (just $5 a month) or $9.99 monthly. join the waitlist to hear first.
do i need an account?
you sign in with your google account, one tap and no new password. your progress, streak and flashcard schedule are saved to it, so you can pick up on any device.
how does the audio work?
every phrase is read aloud by a natural voice for that language. tap the speaker to replay it, or the snail to hear it slowly. each lesson ends with a listening question.
how do the flashcards work?
finishing a lesson unlocks its words as flashcards. rate how well you knew each one and parlingy schedules it to come back right before you’d forget it.
is everything in the lessons perfectly accurate?
we work hard on it, but no. translations, romanization and computer-generated audio can contain mistakes, and some answers have more than one right version. use parlingy to learn, not for anything where an error could matter, and tell us when you spot something via “report a mistake” at the bottom of the page.
can i use it on my phone?
yes. parlingy is a web app that works in any modern mobile or desktop browser, nothing to install.
